If you've followed along for a while, you know Stella. She's my black and tan Rottweiler, and she has the biggest smile at home. ๐พ
People see a Rottweiler and think tough. Stella? She's a big softie. Her favorite job in the fall is kitchen helper.
The minute I get the rolling pin out, she's there. She doesn't need to be called. She just plops down right in the middle of the kitchen floor, smiling up at me like she's the one doing the baking. Every cookie cutter shape gets watched very closely in case one falls. (One usually does. ๐)
When the children come over, she follows them from room to room like she's on duty. Then, when the baking's done and the coffee's poured, she lays her big head on my knee and lets out a sigh like it was a long day for her too.
That's the best part of fall to me: a warm kitchen, a full mug, and a good dog at your feet. โค๏ธ
